what a nice difference it makes getting out an hour earlier.  It was almost pleasant this morning!

quick out & back- nothing spectacular, just a nice breeze and 2 dead snakes.  They were little snakes, so I didn't stop for photos.

I tried to make it a progressive run. avg pace 9:12. splits were: 9:55, 9:33, 9:24, 9:25, 9:00, 8:22, 7:19 (last .22).  So progressive enough, just that one 9:25 to put me off.  I will blame it on the dog that ran out in the road and I had to turn around and yell at him to go home.  Surely that took more than 1 second?

And now to deal with the little gem of a man who sold me a lawnmower that quit working after I drove it around the yard once.  He was wearing a hat that said Jesus all over it.  Not sure how I feel about that right now.

"little gem of a man" - I like that turn of phrase.

Nice progression run. I wouldn't worry about the one second.

I hate it when dogs chase you down the road and bark at you when you are running. I'm guessing it took at least 2 seconds of your time to yell at that dog. If you used your new found skill of "hollerin" at the dog, it may have even taken more time. :)

Do not blame it on Jesus. That man was the DEVIL!

Carolyn, Thanks. The 2 seconds belong to the dog, not my time!

ByeWing- I'm workin' on the hollerin. It's a skill and not something you can just "do." I'll be training on that front too.

Burt- That man, the "devil-stone" gem, came out and fixed the mower. So I'll take him off the devil list and just put him on probation for now.

Fix a sold mower? That sounds like a nice devil man :)

Awesome progressive run! I love the fast finish. Hate the dumb dog. Still not as ugly as the only bye-wing posted a pic of (hubby and I now compare all mangy dogs to that sorry excuse for a canine), but I'm sure it needed to be kicked either way.

Great progressive run. Especially after doing 8 the day before.

QP - nice run, ripped off, always a wonderful feeling - beware of false ... lawnmower sellers. Your pace on runs is darn consistent, strong.
