My shoes from Saturday's rain storm are still wet!  I'm not sure they'll ever get dry.

It was a lovely morning with much cooler air than normal this time of year.  I ran & MR rode along as the waterboy/company.  We didn't even get one house away when we saw this:

Kool-aid opposum strikes again!  He's really just a young one too.  Not 1/2 as big as the one in almost the same spot this spring . I  took the photo mostly for bye-wing.  Hope she's back on the blog today.

We took the shady route and I tried to keep the pace up.  Wasn't really sure I could do it, but I managed a 9:04 average pace, and I was thrilled.  Progressive except for one mile.  First was a 9:22 and the last was an 8:27 (for the .85).

There's a little town I ran through...here's the sign:

Can anyone beat a "population 11" sign?  Sad thing is, of those 11, I know that one of them is
on the national sex offenders registry.  Luckily the town is only 1/2 a mile long & I can run by quickly.

Fastest mile of the whole route! :)

I've never seen an '11' definitely can't beat that.

Nice progressive run! I too hope bye-wing is back soon. Haven't heard much.

Be careful getting offended sexually.

Does that sign say McCumberland County?

Great speed on your run. You are my inspiration for my speed work out tomorrow!

QP - you look so kool with the big head dress, did you wear it running. Nice run, good effort, hang on. Kool Aid - someone giving those creatures poison? Population now 10 with dead koolaid possum.

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Where did you get that darling pix or yourself :)...and why aren't you wearing those peacock feather earings I sent you?

Dead possum & koolaid, only Jim Jones could do something like that. Poor little critter.

You sure live in a strange place.

Here in Colorado, we don't put the population on town signs; we put the elevation.

RAD- I've run by that sign so many times and never even noticed the "11" before. MR pointed it out to me.

Burt- McCumberland County?... I wish I knew how to photoshop.

Brent & Bye-Wing- the head-dress was in Belize. A lady was wearing it (she was wearing what looked like a jaguar skin dress as well) and was making $ getting her photo taken with tourists. I commented on how heavy it must have been, and she let me try it on! It was very, very light weight. If I wasn't worried about international prisons, I would have tried to run back onto the ship with it on.

Carolyn- strange doesn't even begin to describe the south!
