Tempo run today. Easy warm up mile, 5 tempo miles, then easy cool down mile. That's what the directions were. After I'd finished my 5 tempo miles, I was feeling good and happy with my times, so I decided to do a 10k tempo run and ran 6.25 tempo with a .75 easy recovery. The running felt good, no pain problems. I think it was about 50 degrees outside. I put a jacket on before I went out and thought that I'd end up taking it off, but it stayed on the whole time. I really enjoy running when it's cooler and less humid outside. Warm up mile was a 10:15, and after that the times were an average of 8:30s until my cool down portion...and I don't remember what that pace was. |
