Walked again.  Groin still sore.  Maybe tomorrow.

Trying to work on core strengthening while I'm KO'd from running.  I found there are some things I can't do because they involve the pelvic floor where the groin muscle is attached.  I need some motivation.  Injuries suck.

Here I am complaining.  I need to keep things in perspective.  Just got an email from my 40-something year old friend who is now under hospice care for her cancer she's been battling for 9 years.  Cancer sucks worse than anything.

Cancer sucks!! Maybe that should be the title of your blog :)

This is a good place to complain, plus you get some really good advice from people who have been there done that!

I sure hope that stupid groin issue goes away soon...you have lost of races to run with me in July when you promised on your blog to come out :) Plus we have to do the 20 miler from my house to moms!!!

oh, love the picture! Are those porta-potties in the background? :)

-as a side note I've decided that with my hair pulled back my face looks VERY square when I smile, is there a way to fix THAT?

WELCOME to the blog, Charmaigne!!! Sorry to hear you have an injury. I guess that's part of the game we play. I absolutely adore your sister, Rachel. She's the best running partner. You already know that! GOOD LUCK on rehabing so you can resume training for the ROBM this November.

Oh, you have my sympathy for your friend's caner. I lost a dear dear friend my age on Dec 18 last year to bile duct cancer. She fought a valiant battle for 3 years. Her legacy lives on through her children. Sure puts proper perspective in our lives about injury and this hobby we have.

Welcome to the blog. Hope your injury feels better soon.

Cancer does stink. I lost a brother in law to cancer, it is not easy. Hang in there!

RAD- Yep, those are port-a-potties. I always try to get at least one photo of me in front of them at every race. This one is just extra special because you're in it too!

Smooth & Jona- Thanks for the welcome & for sharing about your experiences with cancer. I know my groin will heal, and I'll be out there hitting the pavement again soon. I'll be enjoying it even more when I realize how blessed I am just to be able to get out there and run. I even enjoyed my walk this morning!

Walter- Hi! I like your style. You don't have to warn me about becoming hooked.....I'm a pirate. We come pre-hooked. :-)
