My legs are still crying from plyo yesterday.  I told them to shut up and quit whining.  Or, I tried to tell them...they didn't want to listen.

First mile was slow...10:17.  Then I had a couple miles around 9:20-9:00, then built up to an 8:20 on mile 5.  Mile 6 I slowed down the first half, and tried to finish fast the last half.  Averaged an 8:32.

I got my snooze and off buttons mixed up and got a late start today.  The sky was already light enough I didn't need my headlamp at 5:15 am.  I left it on for cars to see me.  Drivers seemed less happy about moving over and giving me egress.  I wonder if it's just cranky wednesday?

Drivers need to watch out better for us! Yesterday I was almost road kill on main street. I could tell the guy behind the lady who almost hit me was thinking he was going to be scraping me off the road! That's the one thing that continues to scare me with running!

Which one are you in your profile picture? And is the other one someone on the blog too?

You really got some speed on this morning.

My issues with cars lately have been a couple of times when I've been crossing the street a little ways behind another runner. The drivers have seen the first runner and stopped for her, and then started going after she has passed, not realizing that I was coming too.

I have been known to wear my headlamp for defensive purposes too.

KIM- I'm wearing the hat. RAD is the other person in the photo. She flew out and ran the Myrtle Beach 1/2 with me in 2009. It was fantastic.

Carolyn- Cars. They're everywhere. I like running earlier because there are less cars on the roads out here. I almost never have other people out running on the roads with me on my weekday runs. Just me and the corn fields. There's a new chicken farm that just opened up down the road. 14 huge sheds full of chickens. Wonder how that's going to smell in the summer time?

QP - nice run and varied pace, your back, good work. Early mornings are the best.
