My husband sent me to bed early last night because I was walking around like a glossy eyed zombie who hadn't had enough sleep.

This morning I look like a glossy eyed zombie that has had enough sleep!

It had just finished raining and was humid, but only 55 degrees, so it was perfect weather for a light jacket.  My glasses fogged up, and I ran in a couple of puddles, but what the heck, it's all good.

The cow pastures smelled like manure today.  Some days I don't smell them at all, but today was a different story.  Maybe the rain and the warmer temps.  So that was my treasure for the morning :-)

Avg pace 8:56.  My legs feel so strange running in the cheetah pants- the compression feels strange.  I wonder if it's the extra blood flow that's been giving me headaches... maybe it's not allergies after all.... hhhhmmmmm...

Congratulations on 8 and 1/2 hours of sleep. You're doing great with your early morning running.

Humidity must make a big difference. I can't image a light jacket for 55 here in Colorado.

You know, when I first started running I would look for good luck charms. Sometimes it would be pennies, sometimes

bottle caps, and sometimes ants.

Your treasure today is a lot nicer than your treasure you found this weekend :)

I've always wanted to try those cheetah pants, but if they give me a headache maybe not.

Nice job on getting some nice miles at a great pace in!

Carolyn, humidity really does make a difference. It was foggy humidity. Nice on a morning like this. Not so nice in the summer time.

Burt- your treasures are good. I found some fire ants once on my run and had welts for a week. That was a real treat! I've set my standards a little lower, so it's easy to be impressed with what I find :-) I have the same attitude toward teenagers.

RAD- you're right about Saturday's treasure, but I have a feeling I'll always remember that "Treasure." The nice thing about cheetah pants is you don't have to warm up for your run because it's a workout just getting them on!

You can have my oldest teenager.

Burt- we'd have arrange a "switch" but I'm open for discussions. Mine expects his parent/guardian to pay 50,000 a year for him to attend university.

From Burt on Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 21:19:38 from 206.19.214.144

Yeah. Pretty sure mine's not gonna make it to college. Unless he can do something about his straight F's. We're so proud of him.

I do believe our sons were separated at birth, and they're actually both yours. Expect a knock on your door any day now..(give it 4 or 5 days because greyhound busses take a while to get across the country).

QP - don't step in the cow patties, sounds like a good run for the sole. Hum, teens - cheetah pants hey, cheetah is as cheetah does, 6 miles in 9 minutes, must be the pants.
