Waited for some daylight before heading out,  so I didn't have to wear my headlamp.  It was more humid than hot, but after a mile I was warm and the humidity was icky.  I took a stretch break at mile 2 and headed back home.  Went for the overpass run today.  That one stinky little overpass kicks my trash.

Saw something terribly dead and squished, but could not identify.  So instead I have this to share:

It really wasn't as dark outside as it looks, just the angle makes it look that way.  In front of me was a corn field.  The corn stalks are all brown and dried up, but there is pretty purple morning glory growing among the stalks.  We've had a bunch of butterflies around here lately too.  Lots of little yellow and orange ones.

wow...and I thought my sunrise was pretty! Nice job on the run. Hope you've had a great day.

A great way to start the day. It's wonderful when you can find the beauty among the poor dried up corn. I'm sure there must be a metaphor for this, just can't think of it now.

QP, road kill hey, would Savanah smile?

Always great to have the day great you, like the sunrise is just for you, your special QP.
