It's a tri-fecta!  Our schools were on a 2 hour delay today, so no seminary!  I got to sleep in again for the 3rd day in a row.  I think it was my Dad's b-day gift to me on his birthday.  He loved sleeping in.

I got 20 minutes on the elliptical.  I want the tired & sore in my legs to heal up for the long run tomorrow.  I would have love to have done the shred video, but I didn't want to make more sore muscles.

I got to make my kids pancakes for breakfast and had dinner in the crockpot before going to work.  All kinds of things happen when I get enough sleep and have extra time in the morning.  I think all Fridays should be this way.

I guess there was snow forcast & that's why the delay was called last night.  But I'm telling you, it was 40o outside at 7:30 this morning.  The warmest morning we've had all week.  And not a drop of snow (or even precip) where we live.  So it was all good.  I just wish I would have had the 40o for tomorrow, because that's my 18 miler, and the high is supposed to 34 with a wind chill making it feel like the 20's.

At least it won't be 80 with 90% humidity, right?

QP - Holy cold crap - hope you have a runner partner for the long run - start early to beat the wind, like 5 a.m.

okay Brent, I know you're in Utah, and I know it's really cold there in the winter.

I know that compared to y'all, I don't even have a cold leg to stand on. But I want to know if you're being serious about starting early to beat the wind. I figured if we started later, it might actually be above 32 and that would be better.

I'm beginning to understand why we don't hear much about the pirates of the Bering Sea.... Pirates only like warm weather!

Quiet Pirate, without the tan or dabaloons, would rather run 10 degrees colder without wind. Wind has a way of chilling to the bone. Maybe your weather forcastle can tell you when the winds are expected? Do you wear one or two eye patches when you run? Ha ha

Haaaaarrrrrrr de- haaaarrrrrrrgh haaarrrgggghhhh

Seeing as how mr-know-it-all about the weather said it was going to be blizzard cold and snow this morning, and it was 40 and dry, I'm not going to put much stock in what he's got to say.

I enjoy sleeping in enough that I'll wait till noon and bring along my lucky parrot.

What a great Friday morning! I love it when everything runs smooth like that. I hope you long run today goes well.

It seems like around here when the school district makes calls a late start or snow day the night before based on the forecast, the weather doesn't go as forecast and they end up looking like fools. Usually they wait until the wee hours of the morning to make the delay or closed call for the day.

I'm glad you enjoyed your wonderful Friday morning. Now I'm watching for a report on your 18 miler.

BTW, I do find that here it tends to be less windy in the morning before the sun comes up than it is later in the day.
