I slept in!!  Then I did my physical therapy stuff with some situps.  Want to let my legs (and knees) rest a little for Saturday's long run.

I've been reading back over some of your recent entries. Is the physical therapy for your knee?

How did it feel to sleep in?

Carolyn,

It felt marvelous to sleep in. I just think it's sad that my idea of sleeping in is waking up at 5:30 am.

The physical therapy is for my knee (runners knee) and my groin that I injured back in March.

To me, 5:30 would be kind of sleeping in. Now 6:30, that's sleeping in!

It's always good to sleep! Especially to get a good Saturday run in! How is the knee feeling? How far are you going tomorrow? New trails? :)

Rad- Tomorrow is 12. Seems silly getting excited about it, but it's been so long since I've gone that distance.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm running. I want to try out a new 11 mile trail. I've heard it's a good place to run, but I'm not sure what the surface is. And I heard there used to be wild dogs. After that lady and her husband were mauled to death by wild dogs, I'm a little nervous. Can one can of pepper spray keep a whole pack at bay? And I wonder how far I'll be from the road. I think the trail parallels the road, so maybe it won't be that bad.

I've heard the dogs are gone too. Just haven't convinced myself 100%. I'll let you know when I'm done.

Who let the dogs out????

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 04, 2009 at 14:12:40 from 24.199.205.252

Oh thank you so much for putting that stupid song in my head...it will be there all day.

BYW- Sarah is bugging me to tell you that she says "hey." She asked me if I knew that "people could read my stuff" when I wrote it on the blog.

***do I really look that stupid??***

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 04, 2009 at 14:16:34 from 24.199.205.252

Evidently, I might just be that dense. I just realized that every time there's a posting, it goes to my email. I never noticed because it was going to my spam folder. Oh dear Pooh.

From RAD on Fri, Sep 04, 2009 at 14:28:25 from 76.27.12.70

When I hear that song, it's usually in dad's voice and pitch...cracks me up!

You can turn the email thing off, I do. It takes more work, if you've posted a question on someone's blog then you have to remember when and where you asked it, but I just hate the gazillion emails.

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Sep 04, 2009 at 14:33:44 from 24.199.205.252

I can hear dad saying it, and that does make me laugh when I think of it that way.

But mostly I remember the obnoxious soccer moms from the other team that would yell it out when their kids scored (their team mascot was some kind of dog).

For now, I like the updates. I'm just thrilled that I have firefox and now it doesn't take 5 minutes every time I try and navigate to a new page. It's magical!!

Ha ha! I'm a soccer mom and I would die if I heard other parents yelling "who let the dogs out"! There is this one team that has crazy parent yellers....I can see them doing it....yikes. Anyway- are there really wild dogs on the route? Scary!

From The Quiet Pirate on Sat, Sep 05, 2009 at 23:23:08 from 65.191.134.20

Christi,

There were a lot of dog tracks on the dirt (I didn't see anyone running with dogs), but I never actually saw any dogs on my Saturday run.

I'd heard from people that they had a problem with wild dogs on the trail, but I'd also heard the problem was taken care of.

I ran with my pepper spray, but didn't need it. Thank goodness!
