Got to wear my new shoes I bought yesterday. It was about time too- 586 miles is too many miles on a pair of shoes for me. When I put the new ones on, I realized how bad the old ones had gotten. I kept waiting for some super deal to come along, or to find the same shoe I'd been running in on clearance. But it wasn't meant to be. I had to go try on a new model (which ended up fitting great, but I'm always nervous about new models) and pay through the nose for the shoes and the superfeet. Happy Birthday money to me :-) I ran on the trails with MR. Some good hills, some sand, and a little bit of climbing up an embankment of shrubs because the road we were on just ended, and we didn't have time to back track. I got 3 thorns embedded in my leg and felt super tough. Overcast & humid, but breezy enough to make it feel nice enough to run at 630 in the morning.
