18 mile bike ride from one end of "pleasure island" to the other & back. We went through and saw some of the "old" Ft Fisher and found a CVS store for medicine and gummy worms. Took an awesome afternoon siesta and then spent a few hours on the beach. Body surfing was fun until the waves crashing became so forceful that it yanked my swim top and sports bra up under my armpits leaving me panicked in a frothy mess of bubbles and sand. I went and hung out on the beach after that with my clothes on properly, like a good pirate! Watched the sun set over the Cape Fear river. Spectacular!
