ran slow for a mini "recovery" run.  paces were 11, 9:50, 10

tried to run in the pm.  It was freakin' gorgeous outside.  Sunny, 75, blossoms on everything.  I accidently left my watch in the house, and by the time I noticed, I didn't want to have to go back in for it.  I decided to just run very easy and get some great sunshine miles in.

Whether it was from lack of sleep build up, being worn out, being dehydrated (I really don't see how), or too much Texas Pete on my chili at lunch, I started having some real troubles about a mile into my run.  My head felt disconnected, and sort of dizzy.  It didn't get any better, so just after mile 2, I thought I'd try walking for a while to see if it would help.  It did help, but I just walked home instead of trying to fit in another mile somewhere along the way.  My goal had been 4, so I didn't meet my goal.  Got home, pulled some weeds & had some gatorade type stuff.

Maybe it's something in the air.  The flowers on the trees were putting off some strong smells.  Those flowering pear trees are soooo beautiful, but holy cow, they smell horrible!

Mini me helped me cook dinner & we treated ourselves to dinner on the sofa while we watched New Moon again. (the boys were both doing other things).

Nothing productive accomplished, but it was nice to chill.  I even got to put her hair up in curlers :-)  Good times.  Way better than two more miles.

Nice job on getting up AGAIN! I think I would implode if I had to get up at 4:30 every morning. Glad you got the run AND game in yesterday - see, double overtime made up for anything you missed :)

Recovery runs are supposed to be short and slow, so good job!

Well howdy neighbor!

Your early morning runners are something else... I don't see how you do it. I tend me be a night owl; staying up past midnight and 1AM almost daily and then up at 6AM. I guess if I went to bed earlier I could get up earlier. It just seems like you're getting less sleep that way.

Nice run! I have come to enjoy running without my Garmin. Especially if I am running a route I'm familiar with and already know the distance. It's takes the pace pressure off you. And since my pace is so incredibly slow to being with, I like not knowing how much I suck :)

Quiet Pirate - I would say much productivity - out in the day, pulling weeds, enjoying life. Very great day. Have a good weekend, hey, Dixie palms it what we have named our second home in St.George becasue we planted 4 palm trees.

I hope you are feeling better today. I hate running when I am dizzy or feeling off. I am glad you had an enjoyable evening with your daughter!

Amen on the flowering Pear trees...that is one reason why I found something different for my parking strips. Glad you got a nice relaxing evening - you deserve it! I hope mini-me cooked up some good cookies for you as well :)

Definitely way better than 2 more miles. You're a great mom.
