getting out of bed today was a workout
I'll be using my upper body strength today to pull/push myself in and out of chairs.
I managed to get some shoes on my feet and went out for a short walk this morning. It was a tough start. Every step was such an effort. But I knew it would help. I was walking more comfortably about half way through.
I just want to sit all day, but I know I need to drink a lot and keep moving. It's the epic struggle of doing what I know is right and good for my body vs doing what feels good right now. Obviously, I'm sitting at a computer right now and not moving around, so you can see how well that's going.
I'll be ready for another walk tonight.
I got an email, and a friend of mine that I haven't seen in almost 2 years said she might be coming down my way for the 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks. I'd love to run it with her (just running slowly...no pr's). Will it be too soon? |
