first day of summer break, so I let myself sleep in. Big Mistake.

When I finally got out to run at 9:30, it was so hot and humid I couldn't stand it. I finished 2 miles then tried to walk for a while so I could cool down. After a mile of walking, I was just still hot and out of breath, but I managed to run one more mile home. It was icky, icky, outside.

Took a little break and did my shred level one video again. My body feels soreness in new places again. I think it's good.

So how early do you have to get up to avoid the heat & humidity? Definitely icky to run in that muck! Hope you're enjoying your first day of summer break.

KP- hope you get a nice cool breeze to make things easier. I may try some pm runs to see if it's any better than am runs.

Smooth- I don't know how early I'll have to get up. It was 77* at 6:30 am this morning. I think some days, it's just hot all the time. And I'm not motivated to get up at 4 am when I don't have to work.

i can assure you that PM runs are not any better; unless, perhaps, you are going at midnight. my friends and i meet at 6pm twice a week and it is often still in the 90's when we start. morning is the way to go. if i could drag my lazy butt out of bed, i would definitely be out there taking advantage of the temps.
