The record is still broken.  I guess it's going to be chauffer week for me in the am, so unless something really inspires me to wake up before 430, my miles will be lower in the morning.

But that's okay, because it's just for a week and I CAN do it!

paces 9:40, 8:20, 8:01

stretched a little, but didn't get any strengthening in...other chauffering to be done today

How horrible will I rate on the "mother as a failure" scale if I sneak in 2 miles after work and miss the first 20 minutes of mini-me's soccer game?   Do I get any extra points since I found the shin guards at home on the bathroom floor and delivered them to the school?

only the first 20 minutes? That doesn't even begin to qualify for the scale, now I could tell you a few things that would...hmmm, maybe later :)

Nice job on the miles - hitting that negative split with almost a sub 8?! Nothing lost there. I'm just impressed with your consistency, and that you can get up at 4:30!

I think a week of lower mileage is well worth not having to get up before 4:30. And you're not registering on the "mother as a failure" scale. You get extra points for all the early morning driving and delivering the shin guards. And missing a bit of the game is nothing.

Quiet Pirate - yeh, sneek in the 2 miles, no one will know, just run around the soccer feild. Nice pace at the end of your run. Funny thing about the quiet pirate, I am retired from the Navy, CPO, and member of the goat locker.

RAD, Carolyn & Brent-

I think I'm gonna do it. Right after I get those 1/2 time oranges cut up.

Brent- Maybe I'll just start calling you the Old Goat. You must have run a lot of places while you were in the Navy. What was your favorite?

From The Quiet Pirate on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 09:21:52 from 24.199.205.252

a two mile run shouldn't take me 40 minutes, but after getting out, running, getting back, stretching, changing, & walking out to the field that's how late I was to the game...but I did get to see the second half and both overtimes. It still ended in a tie- 1 to 1.

avg pace for run was 8:08. first was slower, second was faster.
