Still cold outside.  Weather man said 17 before I went out the door.  I'm waiting for the warm-up they keep promising later this week.

Ran 5 miles.  Started slower, then found a 9:35 pace average the last 4 miles.  Nothing hurt, but I could feel my legs were still a bit tired from Saturday when I got to 1/2 mile point.

Came home, ate a little, then I did the shred 1 workout.  Tired legs for sure, but I could tell my arms were getting a little stronger.

Back to work, happy day.

______________

On a side note, I think I might have started falling asleep while I was running this morning.  I was running my route backward, and at one point in the run, the road dead-ended in front of me, and I looked up and cried out, "where am I?"  I had no idea where I was.  Instead of running the cul-de-sac and going straight, I'd followed the curve of the road and ended up down a different street.  Totally took me by surprise.  I really don't remember having any thoughts passing through my head after I started the cul-de-sac.    It's a new one for me.

Back at it in the cold, damp air :) Nice pace in the cold - it always seems to take some time to get warmed up to a 'pace' in weather that cold!!

Are you really liking the shred? I can't do that kind of stuff at home w/out becoming a human jungle-gym for the kids, but may get it to do some of the stuff at the gym. LMK!!

You really are having some cold weather. We got lucky and only had a couple of really cold days last week. We've been warmer the last couple of days, so those warm days should be coming your direction.

The shred definitely helps with arm strength, but I think it also helps with core strength, which in turns helps your running. Good job keeping at it!

Ra- I love the shred. I love feeling new places hurt and knowing they're getting stronger. I love being able to do more than 2 pushups (even thought I'm still doing them "girl style").

It would be hard if your kids were climbing on you, or behind you. Someone might end up with a dumbell to the head.

Lucky Michelle gets her little one to do it with her. I just get laughed at. I was proud of my will power this morning...... I was doing the shred when mini-mr came in, and he had smuggled a huge home-made cinnamon roll home for me. I didn't eat it!

Trouble is, I know it's home waiting for me. Maybe I'll share it. Then I can enjoy some of it, and not feel guilty from eating the whole thing.

passing up a home-made cinnamon roll?? wow, now THAT is will power! I'll share it with you, or just eat it all :)

Jay used to laugh at we when we'd run together, because on the long stretches of 'nothing' road I'd close my eyes and run. I'd end up in the middle of the street or pushing him off the road. I actually love it, you can just feel your body move and not be 'distracted' :)

I think my eyes were open, because I noticed the end of the road, so I'm guessing my brain just fell asleep - or shut off. I even had my radio on....

QP - be a good pirate - plate cleaner, don't want you walking the plank and have to swim for shore. Sleep running? Did you really run or dream it? I have had a couple of similar runs over the years, your not a crazy runner, just had it on auto pilot.
