Recovery run.  I wanted to run a slow pace because I want my legs fresh for tomorrow, but I also wanted to hurry and get the run over with so I could go home and try to hurry & get ready so I'd have enough time for a quick nap before work.

It was a good choice vs a good choice.  I managed a 9:48 avg pace, and I had 15 min for a nap.  So we all won.

No frogs singing today, but... I think I know what happened to them.  I was looking out over the grass and into the pond wondering where they'd all gone, and I saw a gigantic frog jumping in the grass.  I think he must have eaten all the other 2,000 frogs & that's why they're not singing anymore.

Clear sky sunrise, so not a lot of colors like yesterday, but beautiful none the less.

I am glad you got your early morning run in and a nap, if you can call 15 minutes a nap. Did you actually have time to fall asleep? Good luck with your long run tomorrow.

Michelle- yes, I actually do fall asleep and wake up feeling more rested. I love my quick naps in the morning. When my son has to be at school early, sometimes I'll set my watch alarm and take a nap in the car in the parking lot until I have to go in.

sleep and ice cream...two very precious commodoties in my life.

Sleep and ice cream are two precious commodities to me also. My husband's family teases me because of my love of ice cream. I don't think you can beat ice cream for a treat.

I love ice cream. Michelle, let's go get some together. QP, I'd like you to come too, but I'll understand if you can't make it. You can have some on your own and we'll call it a virtual ice cream party.

Oh, and congratulations on your win/win solution.

No one is having an ice cream party (virtual or NOT) without me!!! (yup, I'm the bratty tag along little sister :)!!)

Nice work on the run, maybe the frogs are practicing for their rendition of "5 green and speckled frogs" - but in exponential degrees :)

Good luck on the run tomorrow, and I'm glad you got a nap! I always talk myself out of bed with promises of a short nap before waking the monsters!!

From KP on Fri, May 21, 2010 at 18:58:18 from 69.255.142.204

will this ice cream party include some of your moms ice cream?

QP - honestly, i take a nap almost daily before work. i get up, shower, brush my teeth, pick out my clothes, and then lay back down for 20ish minutes. i have 2 alarms set every day. i do this on days that i wear my hair curly. curly hair wins 95% of the time because i LOVE my naps. they really do make me feel more rested.

KP- cute curly hair and a nap? You win! There will be no icky old ice cream at my party.

Today I enjoyed a DQ Dilly-bar Blizzard. MR & I shared one. It was most delicious.

i didn't say the word cute. there is a reason for that. i look like a nappy headed homeless person with curly hair. oh well. more sleep = a relaxed attitude.
