Ran the All American trail today as part of my training for the trail run in February.  I felt good after 14 miles, so I feel confident about 18 in February as long as my fitness level remains.  I'll probably not get back out to the trail again before then.

MR rode along and got a good workout riding through the sand and along the rolling hills.  Got stuck in some deep sand a few times.  It'll stop a bike in no time at all!

There were lots of people out on the trail today.  Runners, walkers, and a cute young couple that were in the bushes off the side of the trail enjoying eachother's company.  The trail's been closed for months due to hunting season.  It just re-opened yesterday.  I haven't been on it in a couple of years- it was nice to be back out there.

Here's a riddle for the day:  What's worse than leaving your bike on top of the car when you pull into the garage?  Doing it twice.  MR's bike fared pretty well- it'll need a new front rim.  The car, bike rack, and brickwork above the garage didn't fare as well.  Lucky for us, we already know how to get them all fixed and replaced since we did it before 3 years ago.  :-(

That's a great riddle. I hope the couple brought a blanket.

Great run, nice work,18 mile trail run sounds darn fun, something I would love. I am confused, I had thought you and Terri were doing a marathon together in March. I had better change my comment on her blog. Good luck, sounds like things are going great. Is the Mr being sent back to Driver's Ed? Or, is he be demoted to Big Wheels?

Stay Kool, B of bS Rools out

AWESOME trail run!!! :)

Sorry about the mishap with the bike! Brent is too funny! May be you need a taller garage? :)

No way! again?!? Oh man..I'm sorry.

Congrats on the excellent trail run, and people watching :) Glad you had a good time out enjoying it all.

Funny riddle. Probably not so funny at the time but good you can laugh about it (cause I sure am). Is the trail in February going to be on this trail?

Burt- who needs a blanket when they're in love?

Brent- I would love to run with Terri in March but its not in the books right now. Big wheels is a solution I can live with.

Smooth- a taller garage would be perfect! Great sense of humor!!

RAD- it was a great day- even despite the wreck it Ralph episode.

Terri- he's not ready to laugh about it yet, so I have to snicker quietly behind his back :-)

Tricky riddle there. But made me laugh :)

Glad the weather is cooperating for your trail running!
