My foot was kind of sore..I'm wondering if it's my right shoe.  I had troubles with the tongue, then the top of the laces, and now the bottom of my foot.  So I found some old brooks shoes that have less than 500 miles on them and used them this morning.  They felt good on my foot.  Maybe it's time for a different brand for a while.

I just did 2 miles w/o garmin or headlamp.  Just stayed in the hood and enjoyed the stars.  I did a few fartleks the last mile.

Going to run home in my brooks and see how those treat the footsies.

Ran home, same pace as yesterday's run home, but today my legs were tired and the last few miles, my quads were sore.  The brooks felt okay on my foot as I ran, but a few hours after running, my foot is achy again.  I think it's time for a break.  This weekend will be my week-end off from a long run.  Maybe my weekend off from all runs.  It's probably going to rain because of that silly storm, so I'm going to drink hot chocolate and bake cookies.  Or something like that.

It was nice to see my two best friends getting along with each other on my run home.  Moon & Sun - playing in the afternoon clouds together :-)

So the moon isn't easy to see in the photo, but it's above the long line of clouds on the right half of the photo.  I promise.  After 5 miles, I realized that the trees are starting to change colors.  I'm seeing some reds and a few yellows.  Pretty :-)

YOu miss being followed by a moon shadow hey? Foot, feet and shoes, pay big bucks and sometimes they don't work out. I man convinced that many injuries are a result of bein in the wrong shoes, spend a day in someone else's shoes. ha aha. Anyway, nice pic. get good soon.

Sorry your foot is bothering you. Hope a weekend off and a different pair of shoes will do the trick. Anyway, it's good to know your "friends" will be waiting for you when you hit the pavement again.

Enjoy your cookies and hot chocolate :)

Maybe the foot thing is contagious. I haven't said anything, because I don't want to raise concerns, but the top of my foot has been bugging me too. Sometimes it is the 2-3 metatarsal, sometimes the 4-5 about 1/2-1 in from the bottom toe joint. I had enough PTSD about it that I went to my doc to have him x-ray it. Just a low grade ache, but that is what my fracture felt like the few days before it busted last Christmas! So, with the heavy weekend races I had on the schedule I went after 2 weeks and had him look at it. He had no good answers and said the bones looked fine. Just to ice and use my anti-inflamatory patches as needed. Basically more a tendonitis problem than rubbing or bone issues. So, I don't know if that helps at all, but I think a weekend off will do wonders for the foot. A new pair of shoes never hurts either though :)

Good luck with it all, and I love it when the moon comes out during the daytime! I remember how the leaves peak around the first/middle of Nov out there. Kind of sad I'm not going to get to enjoy them this year.
