I'm running in the rain....just running in the rain...

Got out at 3:55 because I had lots of things to do this morning.  Taking the week-end off for a race means none of the regular week-end stuff gets done...wish I had a Cinderella to shop for me.

AP was an 8:44.  Progressive run:  9:40 start with a 7:51 pace to finish (last .75).

Ran by a little pond, and the frogs were all singing and croaking away.  It sounded like there were thousands of them...pretty neat.

Went for a walk after dinner & dessert while the kids were at church.  There's a park with a walking path next to the church, so we got a couple miles in walking & talking.

Yeah, but you only got 4 hours of sleep the night before... somehow it all comes out in the wash, or the rain..

You got out at 3:55?!!!!!!! I am impressed. I can't believe you started running BEFORE 4 AM! I feel like I've really accomplished something on the rare occasion that I get out before 5 AM. You are putting the rest of us morning runners to shame.

I generally get nothing done on weekends because of my long runs. They render me useless the rest of the weekend. I often say that I need a wife to do the housework and take care of the kids.

Wow! That is when I would skip the run instead of wake up that early. You have some serious dedication!

I can't believe you got out before 4AM on your BIRTHDAY?!?!?! You are supposed to take a 0 for the day!

Have a fantastic day, QP!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope it is a good one.

From RAD on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:25:54 from 67.172.229.125

Maybe all those frogs were singing you a nice rendition of "Happy Birthday" just for you since you got up so early and were speeding by so quickly!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 16:23:53 from 198.241.174.15

Well Happy Birthday! That makes your early rising all the more impressive. I hope someone made you a nice breakfast while you were out running.

Shiver me timbers, sharpen the sails, climb the mast, gather the sea creatures near and far, aarrrgh, King Neptune has declared this Quiet Pirate Day. The mermaids are to dance, the sea horses lead the parade, sailors man the rails in your best dress whites, here tale - hear tale, celebration of the birth of the Quiet Pirate shall commence.

Thanks to all for the B-day wishes. It was a great day with greek food for dinner and two cakes all for me!

Brent- you made my day. What you wrote is so great. It's a keeper- you're a keeper. Thanks for the smiles.

Carolyn, of course no one was up making me breakfast, but MR. came to my work and brought me boberry biscuits in the morning, and then came back again later and brought me lunch. It's a 30 minute drive from his work to mine. He took great care of me and made my day special :-). You all made my day special. Thanks again.
