Got up and got to walk two miles today!

I'm still looking for a good stretch for my groin area.  All the stretches I know are targeting the area that isn't sore.  Is it okay to stretch it out when it's still sore, or should I wait for it to stop hurting before I work on stretches?

I wish I had a personal trainer/sports med/physical therapist that I could keep in my pocket and utilize whenever I needed them.  I saw a man that looked like he had a squirrel in his pocket once, but I'm looking for a professional.

Can't wait to get out of town this week-end for the Marine Corps 1/2.  Probably won't be running it, but Fredricksburg, Virginia is a beautiful place to go and get away for a couple of days.

I completely forgot that you had the marine corps this weekend!! Too bad mom can't babysit your groin for you this year so you can go :)

Stretching: Everytime I've been to the PT for something or another they always have me stretch like crazy from day one. So, my squirly advice would be to stretch and stretch some more. Have you iced as well? I'd suggest it if you haven't. The best groin stretch for me is "dead bug" yoga stretch, they also call it happy baby. Lay on your back and grab the bottom of your feet with your hands, you end up looking like a dead bug or a happy baby during a diaper change :) See how that one works.

Who needs a personal trainer/PT/yada/yada when you have RAD, the coolest running partner/sister. I'm doing the stretches she showed me for my ITBS. WAY COOL! I like the happy baby description!

okay, I'm a bad sister and didn't call - well ever since I had to replace my cell phone it dies even on a full charge after 5 hours :( so I couldn't call when I thought about it at Snowbird. Anyway, how did the race go? Did you make it through happy and no worse pain?? I'm waiting.....
