Felt sloggish running today.  Fog wasn't as bad, but it was still foggy & humid.  The temp was a little lower (62 predicted) and when I caught a breeze, it felt good.

Avg pace was 8:44.  Not as good as my same intended effort last Thursday, and there was no way I was pulling a sub 8 out of my pocket for the last mile either.  I didn't have a real recovery run yesterday due to no run Tuesday, and I wonder if that made any difference in my struggle today.  There's so many variables, it's hard to know for sure.

Maybe I'll get in a couple slow easy miles after work today.  It's supposed to be 92o outside today, so I'm going to have to see what the heat/humidity tolerance level is by that time of the day.  Some days, I have zero tolerance for any weather...it might just be one of those days.

Attempting a 20 miler on Saturday.  Hope the weather/humidity cooperates with us.  We may start out before daylight to try and beat some of the heat.

Best part of the morning run:  one word- honeysuckle.................it smells so great!

hot, but not as humid after work...2 miles: 1.75 bleachers and 1/4 of an easy cool down lap.

sounds like this morning was a bit calmer than yesterday. good luck with your 20 on saturday! starting early will be a good way to beat some of the heat. unfortunately, it will still be humid.

Heat and humidity can just sap the energy right out of you. I think that starting before sunrise on Saturday is a good idea, though I have a hard time dragging myself up early on a Saturday.

It was pretty cold here this morning, maybe you should send some of your heat this way then we would both be happy. Good luck with 20 miles this weekend!

wow...glad you got it all in! I'm jealous about the honeysuckle. Mine hasn't even come back to life yet :(

Hope today's run went well and that you got a bit of recovery in for your long Saturday run!!
