Easier pace to recover and prep for tomorrow.  I've run almost 2x as many miles this week by Friday than I have the last 2 weeks, so I'm feeling the tired legs a little. Avg pace 9:40.  But enough of that...

Happy Good FRY-day!  It's one of my favorite days of the year because we pull out the deep fat fryer and fry everything we can find.  On the menu today is: chicken wings, egg rolls, hush puppies, cocktail weiner-corn dogs, cheese cubes, pickels, oreos, and of course twinkies.

It will be interesting to see how my run goes tomorrow after all that grease tonight :-)  Oh, and a cabbage salad too...not fried.

This turned out to be more of a food blog than a running blog today. My apologies to the running die-hards and healthy eating crew.

I do like fried chicken, but a fried twinkie is a little more than I can handle.

Have fun with your FRYday.

Good job with your high mileage week. How far are you running tomorrow?

carolyn-

The twinkies are super saturated with grease, and one bite really is enough. It's just fun to try. We're going to experiment with a cake batter this year instead of the regular batter.

I thought I'd just do 10 tomorrow, because I don't want my mileage to go up too much in just one week and over-do it. I hope my greasy gut will get me through all 10.

Ten is a walk in the park for you, even after FRY day! Thanks for reminding me...we've got clean oil and just need to clean out the fryer. Sesame chicken really messes it up! Cream cheese won-tons may be a suggestion I'd be open to....

oh, nice work on those miles :)

FRYday sounds like FUNday to me! You should try fried oreo's. We always have those at the fair when it comes to town. Of course, fried chicken is a southern staple; I know that one well.

Do you put a batter around the cheese cubes? That sounds good.... I LOVE cheese!
