Didn't get to run this week-end.  Drove 4.5 hours to Fredricksburg and had a great time at the expo.  We were even given free tickets to the pasta dinner, which was delicious. Got to hear Ryon speak.  Very inspiring!! We were winding down for the night and getting things ready for bed so we'd be 100% ready for our wake up call in the morning.

Then the phone rang.  Someone broke into our home and we had to leave right away so we could drive the 4.5 hours home and assess the damage.  Not really the way I'd planned on spending my get away/race/birthday weekend.

I decided to just keep doing the recovery for my groin instead of running and making it worse.  It would have been worth it for a fun race, but not for daily training.

I've tried RAD's happy baby stretch.  I can actually feel it stretching the right area.  Thank you for the helpful hint!

I knew you'd like happy baby :) It can cause some strange reactions from individuals around you - especially husbands :)

Sorry about the race...but at least you got a free dinner out of the trip :) Totally worth the money paid for gas/race/hotel and everything right?? And who knows...maybe it saved you from some ringworm :)

RAD... I prefer nematode. Ringworm is a fungus. Roundworm is a nematode. If you're looking for fungus to eat, perhaps you might be interested in peyote.

hmmm...sounds good. I'll have to pick some up on my next run. You should know I'm not as well versed in the biology world as you are :)

OH, I was going to tell you...on the happy baby try to keep your entire spine on the floor. My yoga teacher says "leave a print of your enitre spine on the floor" - doing this will increase the stretch like CRAZY!!

Any runs/walks lately?

BTW, you need to check out LuzyLew's entries. She is an AMAZING writer and I LOVE reading her running reports...you may have to click on 'month view' or something to read a few, but they are always fun and descriptive.
