Did 30 moderate on the elliptical and some strength training after.

I was planning on doing some running after school (along with bleachers), but the forecast is for rain, and I've been carrying around a box in my car for almost 2 weeks that needs to be mailed.  So I'll probably go visit my friends at the post office instead of after school workout.

Hope it's not raining tomorrow am...I've got 7 miles with tempo runs on the docket.

Do you teach school? I'm just wondering why after school is a milestone time for you.

Good luck with tomorrow's tempo!

Carolyn,

Yeah, I'm a TA at our High School.

Nice job on getting up...I was SO tired this morning! I don't know how you early risers do it every day!!!

I also have a box I've been needing to mail for ... a month! My goal is to get to the post office before closing today!

Oh RAD, don't get me wrong. The elliptical was only 30 min because I hit the snooze a few times. And Mike was there playing devil's advocate.

If we get our packages mailed today, we'll be goal-oriented and achieving ladies!! Good Luck!

LOL...I'm kicking myself all the way. Literally. I'm blaming the new shoes. But I really don't want callouses on my ankles. Maybe I'll tape my ankle bones until I learn to run the right way.

When I look at them, it looks like I just learned how to shave my legs, and practiced too much on my ankles :-)

lol! Okay, your ankles - I remember. When you said heels I thought Mr was behind you trying to kick your heels up to get you to go faster or something! I'm glad it's just you :) I had the same problem with ANY new pair of shoes until I had some form work. Try picking up your heels in the back, your heels should be hitting more like your calves as you bring them through. Sounds weird and hard, but if you watch elite runners you'll see what I mean (I still don't pick mine up near that much!) but it gives you a good 'exaggerated' idea of what I'm talking about.

Rad- I did the heel thing, and tried keeping my elbows back. The forms feels good. It'll take a while to make it my normal, but I did like the way it felt. I just had to remind myself a lot. My ankles reminded me a couple of times when they screamed out in pain because I'd forgotten. Thanks for the advice.
