6 am- 74o with 88% humidity.  avg pace 9:17.  SO much better than last Monday.  It was overcast the first half too, so I didn't have the sun to contend with until the last 1/2 of the run.

I wore the trail shoes because they had my inserts in them from my wild adventures last week (see Saturday's blog) so I just wore them on the road.  I don't think it really mattered for only 5 miles.

After the run, MR and I took mini-me and her friend to Wrightsville beach for the day.  It wasn't too hot (85-94o), and there was a nice wind blowing (14 mph with gusts up to 21) the whole time.  We walked the beach for a total of 4 miles, and spent a bunch of time out in the water.

The best part of my day was when MR was out looking for crabs on the sandy shelf where the tide was coming in, and all of a sudden he started dancing and jumping around like crazy.  I thought maybe a crab had pinched his toes.  Instead, it was a dead, slimy fish that had brushed up on his leg underwater.  It really was hillarious to see.

Nice to be back home with a shower and dinner sans sand.

QP, your comments yesterday, thanks, got me back centered. Hey, it is so much fun to just walk the beach looking for sea shells, crabs, ect. great day. Nice miles yesterday.

Overcast is good. It sounds like you're enjoying life.
