With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams...

Running in the rain- early in the dark.  Most of the cars were courteous.  Some days I wish I had rotten fruit to throw at people who don't give me an inch.
 

What is it they say about good intentions?  Well, my pathway to staying in bed an extra 30 minutes every day is paved with good intentions.  I'll never run over 5 miles if I don't get out of bed earlier.  I just don't want to get out of bed earlier. 

Fog kept me in the hood this morning. 

I only hit snooze twice today.  It was 65* outside at 5:30 am.  It was very strange.  I was happy that the wind was blowing from the south- those are the good days when I run into the wind first and have the wind at my back the whole way home.  It was a good morning run.  Only one ding-dong that needed a slurpee balloon.

I thought it was cold until I saw the weather in Utah. Nevermind about the cold.

Ran around the park during seminary. It was raining. Not just a little bit- it was pouring rain.  Did Jillian's shred after coming home. I'd thought about running again, but I was cold and didn't want to go back outside.   Still glad I'm not in Utah.

Ran 3 miles in my Merrells.  I wasn't going to run during seminary- I was just going to walk around the park.  But it was so cold that I ran to stay warm.  It was a slow shuffle because I had my vibrams on and I haven't run in them for over a year. 

After I got home and warmed up, I put on my real running shoes and went out for a few more miles.  The sunshine was glorious.  Other than having a barking contest with an obnoxious little dog in the road, a pretty uneventful run.

I donated blood yesterday- so my run this morning was sluggish.  I always seem to have an upcoming run when they have the donor bus at the high school, (The bus is called "The Vessel" - how creative). I don't have anything on the agenda for a couple weeks, so I was happy to donate. 

I heard a nearby overpass was closed because an 18 wheeler ran into it.  I ran to the overpass to check it out and take in the carnage of the busted up bridge.  I was disappointed.  The bridge was closed, but there wasn't any visible damage to it.  The DOT closed it because of possible structural damage, but it was open again by the afternoon.  I guess the tractor/trailer was too tall for the bridge....I drive over it every day so hopefully it's safe!

Stayed inside and spent 20 minutes with Jillian and her 2 best girls doing a shred video.  I hadn't realized how pathetic my muscles had gotten since I stopped doing p90x.  Hey, 18 months goes by really fast when you're not doing p90x.

I ran 5 early miles with Wyatt.  We stayed in the hood so we could visit & not battle cars.  I wanted to get my run done before the rain.  It sprinkled a little, but it wasn't too wet.  After she left and went home, I went back out for a few more miles.  I would have ran longer, but I had a date with mini-me to see The Hobbit at the 1st showing of the day.  So my totals were lower, but I had a great time with her. 

Early morning with the moon. Time for some new shoes.  The ball of my foot is sore again - it was on Saturday after wearing the shoes too.  Merry Christmas, feet.

Water boy forgot the water....

Pepper Spray - works on dogs.  Just don't wipe your nose with your glove after you've sprayed.  Because it works on people too.
