Chest congestion is still here.  I thought it was going away, so I didn't take my meds last night.  I woke up this morning sorry.

3 miles at a faster than usual pace.  I was literally running short on time. 9:16, 8:48, 8:43.  I'll be doing more this afternoon on the bleachers/track.

It's fun to see the holiday decorations up.  Some houses really go crazy with those blow up yard decorations.  One of the houses I run by actually has a blow up yard decoration that plays the Nutcracker Suite music.  I can't imagine what that's like listening to it play all night long.  I think it might give me bad dreams about ballet class.

37o out this morning.  Partial cloud cover.  It was warmer today than yesterday, but my breath created a lot more fog today than yesterday....I wonder why?

After work, I went out for a quick bleacher work-out.  I got 2 sets done, but it was starting to rain, and the bleachers were getting wet.  I didn't want to slip on them, so I just finished out running around the track, and running back out to the car.  It was a quick, but hard workout.

12:07 pace for the two bleacher laps (.72 miles), then 8:58 for the next mile on the track and 9:02 for the last .18.

YOU LATE! YOU LATE!!!

Maybe the more fog is related to different humidity or something.

Do people around you keep the blow decorations inflated all night? Around here, they're inflated in the evening, but most of them are sad piles of plastic in the morning.

RAD---no, YOU'SE LATE!!

Carolyn, There are a lot of lights & blow up toys on in the morning. I don't think everyone leaves theirs up all night, but a bunch of them must...unless they turn them on just for me at 4 am :-)

hehehehe, just thought I'd give you another good nightmare :)

That did the trick!

Now I'll visions of small Russian women screaming at me while I'm trying to remember the steps to the sugar plum fairy dance.......Thanks

My daughter is playing a very simplified version of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy at her piano recital on Thursday.

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:33:11 from 24.199.205.252

I'd come dance while she plays if I could....

Piano recitals are a special fun time in themselves. How many other piano students will be there?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:38:11 from 198.241.174.15

I think there are only 4 other students. My wonderful running friend Michelle is the teacher.

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:41:11 from 24.199.205.252

That sounds like a good piano recital. I have other nightmare about 15 student recitals in the library conference room.... I think you've got it made!

But I forgot the most important question: Will there be cookies?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:56:14 from 198.241.174.15

I think that this piano recital is taking place in the Relief Society room at the church. My guess is that there will be cookies or something. Michelle is helping the Teachers' Quorum (her husband is their advisor) make Christmas candies tomorrow night, so maybe she'll save something from that for the recital. I should ask her tonight when I take my daughter to her lesson if she wants me to bring something.

Incidentally, I've been trying to talk Michelle into joining the blog. She currently runs 3 days/week and she's worried that if she joins the blog she'll feel pressured into running more, although she is considering going to 4 days/week anyway.

From RAD on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 16:28:32 from 76.27.12.70

Lauren's piano recital is Friday. Her teacher cut the group in half this year...so we'll probably only have to sit through 15-20 :) Oh, and she ALWAYS has yummy treats!

Carolyn, tell Michelle to join! Lots of people only run 3-4 days/week, but it's about the friendship and support (I can't guarantee THAT doesn't 'encourage' you to run more, but hey...it can't be a BAD thing :) )
